Intermission

Hi and welcome to Hollywood Gospel!

I love watching movies. I used to go the movies at least once a week - usually on a Friday afternoon - and depending on the kind of week I've had, I would choose a good laugh or a good cry, and sometimes just an adequate distraction from whatever was weighing on my mind. And often - very often - I'd meet Jesus there.

Michael W. Smith sings a song Everywhere I go I see you. It is a song - I think - about seeing the presence, power, grace and beauty of God in all things around us.

I believe that God can speak to us in any way that works for us, albeit the movies, Facebook, an advertisement on the side of the highway, or the signage on a car, a stranger in a coffee shop, a little purple flower falling down on the windscreen of your car. If you look around you, you'll see Jesus - and hear Jesus - everywhere.

Much has changed in my life since those early days but that movies still play a significant role in my life, that is one thing that has not changed.

Hollywood Gospel is an extension of my main blog Creativelee - home base, if you will. My friend said of me once (while I visited at her store), "Liane can walk from the counter to the door and find Jesus in it." I smile; I think she's right. CreativeLee are these 'sightings' - everything else besides the movies, that is. I invite you to visit me there. There you can subscribe to e-mail updates.

Please leave a comment and tell me what you think. I would love to hear from you.

Now let's get back to our popcorn, shall we?
